Day 28: I Made It!

Final reflection question.

What makes you want to make?

I think creating things is the best thing you can do. I’m a graphic designer, so I design stuff every day, but I don’t often create things. Big difference.

I want to make for several reasons. I want to get better at creating. That’s the biggest reason. My drawing skills aren’t very good and I want them to be better. You get better by making.

I feel so much more productive when I am making things. I get more done and creating breeds creativity. My ideas come faster and better when I am making things daily.

I also want to create instead of consume. I love consuming, but at the end of the day I have nothing to show for it. I have my own stories to tell and my own ideas to put out in the world. That’s why I want to make. It’s important to me that my ideas are not just inside of me, but that they spark a conversation or leave a legacy.
